What’s New for the 2025 VW Tiguan
The Volkswagen Tiguan has been reimagined for 2025, including a newly refined interior with upgraded materials and an advanced infotainment system. The third-generation Tiguan features a refreshed exterior design that enhances its athletic profile, including slimmer headlights, a curved undercut above the front fenders, and an extended roofline.
Three new exterior paint colors have been added to the lineup, including Avocado Green Pearl, Sandstone Uni, and Monterey Blue Pearl.
Performance & Capability
The new Tiguan offers more power than its predecessor, now delivering 201 horsepower via a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. In addition to its enhanced power, the 2025 Tiguan has suspension and frame adjustments that make it 170 pounds less than the outgoing model, which is a big plus for both fuel economy and acceleration.

The VW Tiguan provides an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. For the SE and SE R-Line Black trims, the Tiguan provides up to 25 mpg city and 33 mpg highway.

Interior
The Tiguan’s cabin shows the most improvement for 2025 in both quality and design. You’ll find premium materials throughout the cabin, including available Savona leather upholstery, genuine wood accents, and cloth seats with an embossed design.
You and your passengers will enjoy the power-adjustable 10-point massaging and ventilated seats, along with a heated steering wheel and three-zone climate control capability for added comfort. You’ll notice the Tiguan’s added length in the additional cargo space within the cabin.
The gearshift lever has been moved to the column, creating increased storage space in the console, and the 60/40 split second-row seats allow for flexibility in cargo space when needed.
Exterior
The new compact SUV is longer and leaner in 2025, poised to compete against its crossover competition. The wheelbase and length have increased by roughly an inch, and the extension of the roofline creates a bold and athletic look.
The new Tiguan comes elevated on new 19-inch alloy wheels, with higher trims adding an additional inch, and an available power tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof.
