This was the best car buying experience I have ever had! My sales associate Craig was amazing! He listened to my needs and showed me exactly what I asked for. WARNING!! READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING HERE. This dealership has a lot to work on. First and foremost, integrity. I purchased a used vehicle from them 3 weeks ago. A "certified pre owned" vehicle. Took my Passat for a simple oil change last week- they were on time (told me it would take an hour and it did). The lady checking me in was awesome (Haley) and I loved receiving a text message with a video of the service that had been done- he checked everything! Amazing service-
As much as I don't want to write a bad review for this place...our buying experience was great. However, we purchased a used Audi Q7 that had no owner's manual and we were promised to receive one once our tags came in. 2 months later, Danny Poli (manager) claims that they are "only as good as the customer that trades the car in." What? "Some have owner's manuals and some don't." xxxxxxxx.

Richard is your typical car salesmen. Any lie that needs to be told to get the deal done. Was told by Richard he had misplaced the spare key to my car and he would get it to me shortly. Never heard from him 6+ months. I try calling to discuss multiple times and was hung up on, told I would get a call back, to no avail. The post service on your sale will be terrible. Worked with Richard Albino to purchase a Used 2018 Lincoln MKC. We communicated by phone for two days before our visit. Of course we paid more than was our original intention. However when we did agree on the purchase price we arrived the next day at the Dealership, Met with Richard and we were at the dealership less than 1 hour, which was very pleasant. Richard was very nice to work with and even contacted us after we returned home. At 80m years old I probI will probably NEVER purchase another vehicle but I would not hesitate to contact Richard
My family and I have bought over 13 cars from VW in a 10 year span. This week we had the most disappointing experience with this specific dealer and sadly, that will be the end of it. We will no longer give our business to a place that lied straight to our face to make a deal and then gave us the run-around saying someone misspoke when that deal was made; this was a very deceptive business practice. I tried really hard not to leave a bad review after such a glowing review I had for my sales experience, but I've given the service department 3 times to prove that they aren't having a bad day and that I'm not black balled because I sent a concerning email about the service I received to the service manager (who never bothered to respond to my email) but if I can save others the headache, I will. My wife bought a used Passat from Carolina Volkswagen in September 2018. Against my advice, she elected to use VW Credit for financing and she elected to purchase GAP insurance. As explained to us by the Carolina VW sales agent, the GAP insurance they were offering would cover any difference between the loan balance and the insurance (our private automobile insurance, including collision coverage) settlement payment in the event of a total loss accident.

If I could leave a review for zero stars I would!. We purchased a "New" 2018 VW Tiguan on 6/24/18. We have had repeated issues with the car that the dealer and VW of America say are "operating with in normal tolerances". Our car came equipped with blind spot monitoring and the system goes off at random. When we took the car to them they said "it was probably a really big bug setting it off". Dropped my car off early for first oil change and to check for wiper fluid leak. This is my 3rd VW. Was not expecting it to be ready until 3:00 but Mike called at 11:30 to let me know it was ready. Perfect timing as we were on our way back from puppy class. They did not find wiper fluid leak but assured me that if warning light comes on again they will fix

The Service Manager does an outstanding job . The mechanics will work on the car , until it’s fixed . The personnel is very friendly and helpful . You can walk around and see the new vehicles and the used vehicles without being harassed by a salesperson to buy on the spot . In other words, you feel like you want to look around and maybe shop for a new or used car in the future .
A dealership can be judged not only by excellent service but how it reacts when something initially is less than satisfactorily handled. Enter the Service Manager Morris Maine’s, who personally made sure the tire issue I had come in for was not only handled completely but most courteously. I bought my VW at the dealership and have enjoyed their expert and fast service . Would recommend Carolina Volkswagen anytime.

Got in quickly, service was performed without a long wait time. Did call ahead. Was concerned on pricing of replacement studs offered by Dealership, as they were $6 higher per stud than we purchased them for from an outside parts house. It would have cost us $24 MORE plus tax to buy them at VW. More competitive and reasonable pricing would be great to save customers from multi-store shopping. Overall, friendly and fast service experience.

I was there for service without an appointment and was taken care of quickly, they checked my car and call me right away to tell me what was wrong and had it fixed .
Morris Maines was friendly and approachable when I walked into the service department. When he looked at my Gti engine I could tell immediately that he loved his job and was totally knowledgeable and passionate about vw’s and cars in general. I will be going back to Carolina vw again in the future.

In summary, I was in for service 4 times in July for the side mirror. Wrong part was ordered and was told the new part will be $100 lower. That was a lie. At the 4th trip it was a lot more. Was not happy when I left. Not happy at all.

Outstanding customer service! Everyone there was very pleasant, professional and knowledge,also the waiting room was amazing I got a complimentary manicure while I waiting for my car to be serviced.
The service was timely and pretty efficient. The Staff wascourteous and thoughtful. The manicurist kindly offered her services though I declined . Available snacks were a nice touch.
The folks here got me in right away and took care of the airbag recall as well as another recall I was unaware of. To my surprise they gave my car a nice wash and topped off all the fluids! Great customer service!

The last time I visit the service department they told me a warranty was not to done but to schedule it so I schedule that with my yearly Maintenance package they told me that the service for the warranty was already done which they did not do in the 1st place after talking to them about it and being demanding about it they looked into it. I can't give the mechanics high enough praise. They are skilled and reliable. Service management is something different. I've gone to this service center for years. I've had excellent experiences in the past. Not the case anymore. Entire team has been different the last 2 times I've visited and it's very clear that revenue has become the primary concern, not costumer service. I won't be coming back.
Mike and Morris went above and beyond in meeting our needs for our VW Touareg! Carolina VW has always been the best place to purchase and maintain top quality service for all the VW’s that we have owned.
There were a couple topics of concern on parts/details on the vehicle after purchasing a new GLI. The issues were handled with urgency and all were resolved with success. Also, the purchase recently was not only rewarding, but also fun and satisfying from sales to management to finance. I’ve been in Charlotte one year today and I’ve only dealt with this dealership. All of the other service or general help was great but this particular time was by far the BEST! I woke up to a dead car, got a jump to make it to the dealership, late to work already now by 20mins they found out the issue, replaced my battery at a great price. I mean amazing. Love the guys there !

the waiting area is super comfortable w/ fast wifi. starbucks coffee is fresh & delicious. soda & snack availability is definitely a plus. the wait took a little longer than my expectation. 1 1/2 hours to program my new key fob. 1 hour would hav been nicer. that last 1/2 hour was a pain. but am happy to hav my new key working.
This was just for the annual NCDOT inspection. I purchased my VW at this dealership and it is now 6 years old. All of the service for this vehicle has been performed at this dealership and it has always been excellent.

Talked with Mike McClaskey by phone to order a new key for the 2014 Jetta I bought from a private owner. It took 2 business days (over a weekend) for the key to arrive. Mike called me to say that the key was in. Twenty years ago I purchased my first Volkswagen. A Jetta that lasted a hundred and eighty seven thousand miles, a tree fell on it and the Jetta was laid to rest. Hopefully this little black beauty will last the same amount of time. #VWgirl Richard Albino was very kind and patient.
Had my car in for routine service- 20,000 miles. Not only did Olga check me in, she took the time to show me how to adjust a dashboard display I didn’t know how to work. My service tech- Mike McClaskey- let me know what was needed and that it wouldn’t take long. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The dealership is clean and the waiting room is comfortable.

He made everything right with my situation that I had been dealing with on my car for over a month now of bringing it in and being told it was fixed first by Olga and he mechanic and then by Mike and his mechanic. I went straight to the general manager Richard who connected me with Morris and promised me the issue would be resolved and indeed it was and he even had my car washed inside and out! He went the extra mile. Just hate it took complaining to managers before it got resolved.
Service was great and very informative. There was a little bit of a wait due to the amount of people coming in for a service, but I had planned on that. Mike was very kind and attentive to my car.
You found antique VW parts, other dealers would not look for. Open on Saturday is a big incentive. Olga has good cookies, candy & hugs. Look forward to seeing more of Carolina VW and sweet Ms. Olga.

The battery for my VW Golf Wagen was twice as expensive as expected as it only was available from the dealer. This is not a reflection on the dealer personnel or the service that was provided. The service was excellent, and personnel were professional.
Olga was amazing along with the rest her teams I had a bad morning with my car and she assured me that everything would be okay. She helped get me to work, gave me updates all day and then sent a car to pick me up when my car was ready. Was upfront about the cost. And then Olga went over everything with me once I was back at the shop.

Mike McClaskey the service advisor is very professional and prompt at calling you back and keeping you updated on your car and it being serviced!!!! When someone tells me they will call you back, that is what I expect. That builds trust with the company that you are dealing with. The car seem to run fine coming home but I have not driven it more than 40 miles, yet. I will add though, anytime Carolina Volkswagen has serviced my car, I have not had to go back with same problem.
My car was in bad shape and was miles away from complete destruction. Olga was great in making sure I was taken care of and helped me not stress out about this.

I have a warranty on my car and they took 2 weeks to call mE back about it they refused to cover any of the problems with the car then later on said they can’t help me that they sold me a car with problems and did not state anything about it, do not buy from this dealership they will over charge you for everything and the customer service is horrible.
We left as happy customers. All of our repairs were completed. VW went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We look forward to going back for service.
There came a time when the work wasn't getting done within the cited time. I had several visits to make. Olga solved the issue by providing a loaner.
The service took over a week to perform a simple task, not the problem. The service advisor never called me with any details or kept in touch about the extra time. I had to call and ask what was going on. I asked the service advisor to put my temporary tag in the car so it would not get stolen. She agreed to do so. Donell was extremely helpful in making a decision about which model to choose and arranging an immediate test drive. He explained all the warranties and service requirements and negotiated a great deal. Reasonable trade in too - 90 mins later we were driving away in a new car!
